Author Barry K. Nelson with McKenzie Files
The United Protectorate is under attack by the reptilian alien race known as the Brelac. The Brelac's bloodthirsty onslaught brings forth the creation of the genetically engineered humanoid weapons called Reploids. These Reploids are the perfect weapon in every way; they are identical copies of real humans that have been captured, killed, cloned, embedded with powerful psionic-based abilities, and programmed to kill for the Brelac. They are untraceable, they blend into human society, and they are believable-so believable, that the Reploids themselves do not know they are clones. Colin McKenzie is a second generation Reploid planted in the Protectorate military. When he turns on his commanding officer in an attempt to protect a shipwrecked band of Brelac soldiers, he is captured and reprogrammed-along with two other arrested Reploids-to serve the government they were originally created to destroy. A dark alliance between the Brelac and the separatist organization Vendetta looms over the Protectorate. The balance is upset when the traitorous Doctor Howard Fenlow-the scientist who is the very creator of the Reploids-manages to produce a weapon powerful enough to bring the Protectorate to its knees. And there are only three that can stop it.

Author Yvonne Mason with Dream Catcher
In the years leading up to the 1950’s there were no resources for the challenged. They were placed in asylums or back rooms and left to die. They were never talked about or acknowledged. They were the silent children. The ones no one wanted. The ,ones who never given a chance to live. Florida Author Yvonne Mason has given us a story of success in a time of failure for the challenged. She has given a voice to a child born in 1952 who became challenged. This young man was not put away. He was not shunned and he was not ignored. In her book Dream Catcher, Ms. Mason tells of Stan who was never supposed to succeed. He was supposed to fail. Ms. Mason takes the reader into the life of Stan’s family as they deal with an older child as well as a baby who is challenged. She brings to life the pain, heartache and deep emotion of the mother as she learns to cope with Stan. Ms. Mason also brings to life the hope, the love and the deep abiding loyalty of the family as more siblings are added to the mix. The stories bring tears, laughter, anger and feelings of hope, success and belief that behind all of us there is the ability to succeed even when we feel we can’t. Dream Catcher a book that should be in every home and in every teacher’s hands to use as a yardstick for success. Author Emma Westwood with Monster Movies Calling live from Melbourne Austrialia
Features exclusive interviews with JOHN CARPENTER, ROGER CORMAN, BONG JOON-HO, LARRY COHEN, GREG MCLEAN, RYUHEI KITAMURA AND ADAM SIMON...
From the year dot, things that go bump in the night have coloured our collective storytelling experience. The hypothetical ‘monster’, in whatever guise or otherworldly shape it may take, is the manifestation of our fears and social paranoias, and an effective watchdog for making sure we all toe the line.
Through literature, the monster has found a lasting legacy but, through cinema, it has developed from black & white into full Technicolor glory making the monster movie an enduring document of social times, movements, fears and desires. This book peels back the flesh on a few monsters that have tingled our spines and caused more than a nightmare over the past 100 years.
About The Author: Emma Westwood is a writer, journalist and dedicated cinephile from Australia. As a media correspondent, her writing has appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers in both Australia and South East Asia. Her first clandestine viewing of 'The Exorcist' at age 11 kicked off a love affair with the horror genre that has placed her in good stead to write Monster Movies. This is her first book for Pocket Essentials.

Author Beth Trissel with Through The Fire.At the height of the French and Indian War, a young English widow ventures into the colonial frontier in search of a fresh start. She never expects to find it in the arms of the half-Shawnee, half-French warrior who makes her his prisoner in the raging battle to possess a continent––or to be aided by a mysterious white wolf and a holy man.
About the Author: Beth Trissel, author of historical and light paranormal romance, published with The Wild Rose Press. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and live on a farm in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with children and multiple animals. The beauty of the valley is an inspiration, as are my roots which go well back into Virginia’s history.~ My fascination with the colonial frontier and the Shawnee Indians is an early and abiding one. My English, Scot-Irish ancestors had interactions with this tribe, including family members taken captive. Intrigued with all things Celtic, much of my writing features the Scot-Irish who settled the valley and spread into the mountains and the Carolinas. ~ This absorption with early America also extends to the high drama of the Revolution and ancestors who fought and loved on both sides of that sweeping conflict. ~Moreover, I am ever intrigued by ghost stories, and Virginia has more tales than any other state. I find myself asking if the folk who’ve gone before us are truly gone, or do some still have unfinished business in this realm? And what of the young lovers whose time was tragically cut short, do they somehow find a way? Love conquers all, so I answer ‘yes.’ Please also visit me at my author website: http://www.bethtrissel.com/http://www.thewildrosepress.com/-------------------------- 7-30-09, Thursday, 9 PM Central

Author Michael Phelps with The Execution of Justice
MIKE WALSH is a young Patrol Officer with the Indianapolis Police Department. On a frigid, snowy Christmas Eve, he and his partner are dispatched to a domestic dispute. As they arrive shots pierce the still air, his partner is seriously wounded. A derranged gunman stands at the door; gun in one hand, holding a little girl hostage with the other. Arriving Police units and Fire-Rescue can do nothing but watch the unfolding drama. Walsh crawls on his belly to place himself between his fallen partner, then stands to face the gunman, with his gun in hand. After several tense moments, he succeeds in talking the man into surrendering and releasing his child-hostage. Walsh's partner is rushed to the hospital. His heroic act leads to his promotion to Detective in the elite Robbery-Homicide Division, where he is partnered with his one-time mentor, Detective Sergeant Jack Lovell. In the ensuing months, they handle a variety of cases; armed robberies, and a couple of murders. Walsh finds that the hours required of being a detective are much longer than being on patrol. His marriage begins to suffer, and his alcohol intake increases. He and his partner, Lovell are assigned the case of a vicious gang of armed robbers. With no real clues to follow, victims' and witnesses' descriptions that are strange and conflicting, the gang is on a spree and they become more violent with each crime, resulting in the cold-blooded murder of a Brinks Armored Guard. In a subsequent bank robbery, memebrs of the gang get involved in a shoot-out with an off-duty cop. He wounds one of the fleeing suspects, who begs for help from his cohort, the gunman shoots him in the head. The slain robber is identified, and provides Lovell and Walsh with their first solid lead to the gang's identities. Lovell and Walsh asemble a team of detectives and uniformed officers for backup and carefully plan a raid of three dwellings, where they have a tip the gang members are hiding out. Lovell plans the raid to be executed simultaneously in the pre-dawn hours of a cold December morning, just two weeks before Christmas. Tragedy is about to strike the team, and Walsh's life is turned upside-down. He is forced to make changes, both professionally and personally. Will he survive?

Susan Kuchinskas with The Chemistry of Connection
About the Book:
When we make love, when we’re stroked, when we spend time with close friends, and even when we pet an animal, our brains respond by releasing pulses of oxytocin. This chemical, produced by the hypothalamus, floods the brain and body with feelings of connection, trust, and contentment. Researchers believe that this natural, powerful "love drug" plays an important role in all human social relationships. The Chemistry of Connection offers new information about how brain chemistry affects our platonic and intimate relationships and explains how oxytocin research can help us understand the psychological differences between men and women. But the book goes beyond detailing the biochemistry of love. It offers practical tips and guidance to help readers increase their natural supply of oxytocin in order to develop deep connections with family, friends, and romantic partners.
About Chemistry of Connection: You may have heard of oxytocin, known as the "cuddle hormone." It's responsible for letting us feel life's most wonderful emotions. When we make love, when we’re stroked, even when we spend time with close friends, oxytocin floods our bodies with feelings of love, trust and contentment. This naturally secreted brain chemical is also the secret to forming committed relationships, turning lust into long-lasting love. But this love chemistry can go awry. When it does, we may bounce from one disastrous relationship to another, falling madly in love with wrong person after wrong person, while caring suitors leave us cold. The good news is, we can revitalize the body's powerful urge to bond when it's safe and right. I want to tell your listeners how to maximize their supply of this feel-good chemical in everyday life and how they can work to fundamentally change their emotional chemistry so that loving and trusting become as natural as breathing.
About the Author: Susan Kuchinskas is a journalist with more than fifteen years of experience who has published thousands of articles on science, technology, and culture. Her work has appeared in Time, Wired, and many other publications. Visit her oxytocin blog online at hugthemonkey.com
Susan Kuchinskas is a journalist and author. Her book, "The Chemistry of Connection: How the oxytocin response can help you find trust, intimacy and love," was published by New Harbinger in April 2009. She also covers internet advertising, health and green fuels for a variety of publications. Dr. Nancy Irwin with her new book You Turn.
YOU-TURN: Changing Direction in Mid-life is a collection of “over 40 stories of people over 40.” The inspiring stories are from a diversity of real people who started a new path—and will motivate you to do the same. A grieving mother started a school for the leprosy-affected in India; a crack dealer became a real estate investor; a 73-year-old singer enrolled in law school; a catering director started rehabbing used cars for low-income people; a Harvard lawyer became a New Age healer, and more. Click on “About the Book” for complete chapter-by-chapter synopses.
Whether you’re looking to change careers, begin a relationship, have children, find meaning, or just find balance, this book is for you. It also includes a “driver’s manual” and tips on easing yourself into a life change.
THIS BOOK WILL HELP YOU. . .
• Identify what’s not working for you anymore • Explore where you might want to go • Create a roadmap for going in the direction of your choice • Transfer skills from your “wrong” direction to enhance your right one • Overcome fears that prevent most people from changing • Learn how your unconscious has been programmed—and reprogram it • Design and live a life that fulfills you • Get motivated to pull a 180!
About the Author: In her own words, Dr. Irwin says, "I believe every child's birthright is that his or her sexuality will blossom in its own time. Sexual abuse thwarts that right.
With all humility, I wish there had been someone like me around when I needed help. We, fortunately, live in terribly exciting times when this issue is 'out of the closet' and help is readily available.
I can't remember a time when music wasn't a part of my life; indeed I believe I'm a connoisseur of beautiful sounds. And there is nothing on earth more exquisite than the sound of children's laughter. We can heal and find that happy, loving child within us again ... that child who simply wants to celebrate the joy of living." Dr. Nancy Irwin graduated from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana, California with honors and the Director's Award. She is a member of the Hypnotists' Union, the California Psychological Association, the American Academy for Experts in Traumatic Stress, and the California Coalition on Sexual Offending (CCOSO). Dr. Irwin is also a certified practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy and Emotion Free Therapy, combining these modalities with hypnosis to effect the most rapid change possible in her clients. While Dr. Irwin treats over 100 different issues, she is dedicated to treating victims of child sexual abuse as well as abusers. In addition to earning a doctorate in psychology from Southern California University of Professional Studies, Nancy has a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance, and her background as an opera singer and stand-up comedian adds heart and humor to her healing. A popular keynote speaker she insists, "Change does not have to hurt!" www.drnancyirwin.com
NEW NONFICTION YOU-TURN SHOWS IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO TURN AROUND IN LIFELOS ANGELES - March 11, 2009 - Dr. Nancy Irwin, a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist, introduces her new nonfiction book titled You-Turn: Changing Direction in Midlife. This collection of "over 40 stories of people over 40" chronicles successful transitions in people's personal and/or professional lives. Originally from Atlanta, where she trained as an opera singer, Dr. Irwin moved to New York City in 1985 to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. She worked all over the country and abroad, and moved to L.A. in 1994 when she heard that Hollywood needed more blondes. She quips: "The road from comedy to mental health is very short, indeed." Dr. Nancy experienced an epiphany when she began volunteering for a shelter for sexually abused children. It changed her life, and prompted her to pursue a doctorate in psychology and to specialize in the prevention and healing of child sexual abuse. You-Turn not only shares her own story, but also 43 other you-turns from a variety of people - some simple, some dramatic: a convicted crack dealer who became a real estate investor, a mother of nine who started a foundation for the leprosy-affected, a monk who became a motivational speaker, a recovering pedophile, a man who became a spouse and parent after 40, a woman who finally embraced her sexual identity after years of denial and abuse, and more. The stories are divided into two parts: change by default (injury, break-up, lay-off, etc.) and change by choice (boredom, lack of fulfillment, etc). Like a Chicken Soup for the Soul for Baby Boomers, this book is for the fearful and frozen..anyone who feels stuck in struggle yet really wants to move forward. Dr. Irwin states: "I've included some professional tips on navigating change at any age, but the emphasis of the book is on the stories told in first person. Everyone can identify with one or more of the stories in this book. I did not want to write an academic 'do-this-in-order-to-feel-that' book, because what has helped me reinvent myself so many times was seeing real-life people do amazing things. I figured if they could do it, why couldn't I? It is my hope that we all begin seeing you-turns everywhere, so they become the rule rather than the exception. Twenty- and thirty-somethings especially can benefit from these stories so they will feel free to explore, question choices, and change directions, to avert what used to be called a "middle age crisis." We now call it a middle age blaze!!!"

Nickolas Grabowsky:
I am a delusionalist; I’ve been delusional since as far back as I can remember, around 1968 when I was just a tike and Captain Kangaroo was in black and white. In kindergarten, I convinced myself that I was a vampire, ran around at recess flapping my jacket around the playground like I was flying. My kindergarten teacher warned my mom that I was always after the girls. I would bite them on the arms. Around the third grade, I started writing stories, belting out church hymns at the top of my lungs on the playground swinging on the swings without an ounce of care, while in the next instant breaking a playmate’s arm for not believing that I was a vampire. Later in life, I was a Penticostal preacher, so to speak, and I tried to be a rock star at several points. I directed choirs, played in piano bars. My sister’s abduction and death ironically rescued me from a cluster of downward druggie years, but immersed me in karaoke hell for awhile. I love gardening. I used to sneak out of my parent’s house regularly when I was twelve to streak naked through parks at one in the morning when the automatic sprinklers turned on and I could run through them. I made it a monthly ritual growing up that I pretended my house was a grocery store and I made my family shop through it. I was a camp counselor, a religious counselor, a phone room sales manager, a college actor, lived in a car, and currently live in a nice home with my fiancé Phyllis and 2-year-old son Charlton John near Sacramento, CA making a living as a horror novelist, something I’ve been doing professionally for a couple of dozen years now with a few ups and downs but a good fan base around the world, something I’ll always be greatful for. I mean, no matter what I’ve done, I’ve always been a writer, through and through, since the day I became literate, and I’ve always had an audience of readers who really dig what I write, as dark and disturbing or fantastical as it’s always been. That’s been my life-long delusion, though it’s always seemed pretty real to me, and I’ll keep writing for others to read until the day I die. NOW LET ME HEAR FROM YOU ALL A HEARTY "AMEN" TO THAT!
HERE'S A GENERAL AUTHOR BIO FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GET TO THE POINT: Nicholas Grabowsky’s novels of horror/fantasy and mainstream pulp fiction, both as himself, as Nicholas Randers, and as Marsena Shane, have generated worldwide acclaim for over two decades and praised by many of today’s most popular horror gurus as well as a multitude of writers outside the genre in the literary world. He began his career in traditional publishing houses with brisk sellers in mass market paperback horror and romance, and the last ten years have seen him hailed by many as a mentor and advocate to the smaller presses, which has become to him a passion. His body of work includes the award-winning macabre aliens-among-us epic The Everborn, The Rag Man, Pray Serpent’s Prey, Halloween IV (and its special edition), Diverse Tales, Reads & Reviews, The Wicked Haze, Sweet Dreams Lady Moon, and June Park, numerous anthologies, magazine articles, and self help books, with projects extending to screenplays, poetry, songs, film, and a wide variety of short fiction and nonfiction since the 1980’s. He’s a veteran special guest at numerous genre conventions and makes appearances and signings across North America. He has been in the limelight as a radical gospel preacher right out of high school and in the following years a rock vocalist, teacher, lecturer and activist, editor, publisher and founder of the Sacramento-based Diverse Media small press, which has recently blossomed into the subdivisions of Black Bed Sheet Press, which publishes local talent, and Black Bed Sheet Productions, which produces independent film. Currently, Nicholas is at work with numerous anthologies, graphic novels and comic books, an Everborn sequel and the novels The Downwardens and The Sirens of Knowland. His independent film projects include the upcoming slasher creature feature Cutting Edges, as well as co-writing the independent film Into the Basement, for Triad Pictures.

Author Jason Bradshaw with Beneath Creek Waters
“Beneath Creek Waters” In 1845, there were 200 coin’s born when Texas joined the United States. They were to be given to all major players that helped Texas into the US. Parks Leslie and Stan Atcher, both treasure hunters and historians, were always looking for their next big find. When the coin resurfaces after a couple of local kids stumble upon what appeared to be one in a Southeast Texas creek, it reopens Parks interest and the hunt is on. What the two did not know is that the coins had been guarded by a local family for years, and they were not about to let them go now. Ultimately, Parks and Stan have to team up with the local family to get out of a deadly situation when a gold hungry militia group enters the picture unexpectedly.

--------------------------------------------------------March 5, Thursday, 9 PM Central Author Tina Howe with Book 2 of The Telling of Xunr-kunThe Trail Folks of Xunar-Kun
It is four cycles later. The Folk and Trailmen have accepted that they are part of something greater than themselves. They have come together as “the Seekers”. Their purpose: to find the true Parents of the Orphans.
But they find something much more insidious and more lethal than any threat they have faced before.
Tina Field Howe lives in Corning, New York. Her first novel, Alysa of the Fields, Book One in the Tellings of Xunar-kun, won the 2006 Dream Realm Awards for Cover Art. She has published illustrations internationally in several books and other media. In addition to writing stories, poetry and screenplays, Tina has been a freelance communications designer since 1995. She creates everything from web content and graphics to business communications. Although creative in various media all her life, Tina became serious about writing during the 1980s. Tina is available for talks, writing workshops, readings, and signings. Visit Tina Field Howe Multi-Creative to view her extensive portfolio. She also teaches writing workshops.
Tina holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology and Art. Her favorite college studies included physical and cultural anthropology, archaeology, studio art, and art history. Her love of creativity, her interest in diverse peoples, and the experience of her own struggles inspired her to write Alysa of the Fields, in which she created the cultures, religions, and creatures. She has been writing for several years, mainly business communications, poetry, screenplays, web content, and short stories.
Tina illustrated the book’s cover and graphics, as well. She has been involved in digital graphic design since the ‘90s and for most of her life has been creating artwork in some form.
Where did Tina grow up? Tina grew up in Waverly, New York, a village on the border of northern Pennsylvania. Although she lived in the middle of town, she was not far from nature, as several acres of abandoned farmland behind her home had grown into a small forest that the neighborhood children called “the Woods”. It was fortunate that the Woods bordered her back yard (nature plays a very important role in Alysa).
The many neighborhood children (post-WWII baby boomers) spent hours involved with nature and her many creatures. If nobody happened to be around to play with, Tina had no qualms about spending time by herself in the Woods - alone, but not really, as nature is a good friend and filled the hours with birdsong, musky smells of vegetation turning to soil, and solace found beneath the shelter of pine branches laden with snow.
Where does she get her ideas? She gets her ideas from her life; sometimes from the lives of others; sometimes, it seems, from thin air! Tina loves to imagine. What if? is one of her favorite imagination stimulators. When the What if? sends her into her imagination, she tries to discover details she hasn’t seen (or read) anywhere else. Truly, the process of writing is the process of self-discovery for Tina. Through writing, the tapestry of her life becomes apparent to her. In writing for others, she learns much along the way. It is her hope that her readers come away feeling changed in some way...a good way. The most influential authors (not all fiction) in Tina’s life are Ursula K. LeGuin, Piers Anthony, Anne McCaffrey, Don Miguel Ruiz, Ray Bradbury, and Robert Heinlein.
Can Tina come and speak to our group? The author is an experienced speaker and actress, having talked many times to school groups. She is available for school writing workshops, book signings, radio interviews, speaking engagements, school presentations, and professional gatherings.
Tina also wrote and illustrated a children’s picture book titled Snailsworth, a slow little story. 24 pages. Full color cover and interior. ISBN 978-0-9768585-3-9. Available from the author, Amazon.com, B&N.com, and a thousand other online booksellers. Visit Snailsworth’s website!

Author Gloria Teaque with Beyond The Surgeons Touch.
I was born in Tennessee, near the Smoky Mountains, a region abounding with natural beauty, the birthplace of country music and Jack Daniels whiskey. Even though I currently live in another state, Tennessee is, and always will be, my home.
Now I'm called an Okie and I'm not quite sure I like that term but the natives don't seem to mind. Hey, even Merle Haggard sang about being proud to be an Okie from Muskogee! I live in a very small town on Lake Keystone, about 25 miles from Tulsa. I'm married (the reason I moved to Oklahoma) and I have two grown daughters and a very spoiled Boston terrier named Tiger.
I won an essay contest when I was twelve. At the time I lived in France, thanks to being an Air Force brat. My mother heard about a European-wide essay contest about Law Day--May 1st. Looking back I realize this must have been a military "holiday" because no one else I know has ever heard of it. Being terribly patriotic I thought I'd give it a try. There were only ten winners across Europe and I was one of those ten. The winners got to go to a courtroom in their country and watch a day of trials with lunch at an outdoor cafe. Even though I hadn't learned a great deal of French yet, I thought it was wonderful! That night as I lay in bed, totally exhausted, I had an epiphany. "I think of something, put it on paper, and someone rewards me for it? Yeah, that's what I want to do when I grow up--BE A WRITER!"
I played with writing for the next several years. I never dreamed of submitting anything (no one told me about S.E. Hinton writing that killer book, The Outsiders, at the age of 16!) but I never stopped writing. I'd write scary stories and tell them to my cousins, hoping one of them would cry or run away screaming. When I hit high school I wrote stories with my friends in the leading roles. They loved it. Then I allowed life to drag me away from writing.
I came to my senses and went back to writing in 1995.
I’ve had over four dozen short stories published in national magazines, as well as serial and holiday stories published in regional newspapers. I have a short story, "The Flying Saucer", published in the anthology Shades of Tulsa and I’m a contributing author to Book Marketing A to Z. In 2004 I won first place for a short story submitted to the OWFI conference contest in the confession category. I won first place in the America Nostalgia Prose category at the OWFI conference in May, 2005 for a short story created from a chapter in Saturday Night Cocoa Fudge. I won prizes for poetry and a Sci-Fi book in OWFI writing contest in 2008. It is my pleasure to be a member of Tulsa Nightwriters and have the honor of being the editor of NightScripts, the organization’s newsletter. I’m also a member of Oklahoma Writers’ Federation, Inc. (OWFI).

Beyond the Surgeon’s Touch is a book of stories based on actual events that brings the staff of emergency rooms and surgical suites to life and prove that they are, after all, just human.

Author Joseph Cavano with Half-Past NoWhere
Set in the scenic mountains and college towns of upstate New York, as well as the author s beloved South, Half-Past Nowhere, chronicles the life of boy as he passes from innocence to experience. Written in a style that evokes Hemingway and Faulkner, experience the struggles of our young hero from an abusive childhood, through the joys and pains of young love and finally, self discovery. At times humorous, this collection is filled with memorable characters and real life obstacles. If you were ever young you may find yourself here.
Bio:
Ignoring the advice of teachers from grade school to graduate school to dedicate his life to writing, Cavano chose in his own words, the road most travelled, and opted for the secure life of an English teacher in the secondary schools and colleges of the Hudson Valley in New York. Semi retired now, he has begun to write again, and in less than a year has put together this collection. Phineas Rising and Mountain Men have been selected as finalists in the prestigious Glimmer Train Short Story Contest. An inveterate traveler, Joe and his wife, Stephanie, live in Charlotte, North Carolina and continue to travel throughout Europe and Asia. In his spare time he plays jazz piano.
After spending a good part of my life teaching in the secondary schools and colleges of upstate New York,I began to renew my love affair with writing one year ago.In that brief time ,I put together the collection of related short stories, Half -Past Nowhere, and had it accepted for publication by the first and only publisher I contacted.Patterned after Hemingway's In Our Time, it also traces the growth of a young hero as he passes from "innocence to experience." Two of the included stories have already been awarded finalist status by Glimmer Train, one of the most prestigious of venues for the short story.
Over the years, I've used the freedom afforded a teacher to develop a myriad of interests. One of these, has been improvising jazz piano, a process not unlike the process a writer utilizes in creating a work of fiction. As a jazz pianist once told me about creating music(and literature!)" You're never where you are...you're always where your going.'Its a point I often demonstate at my many book signings
Having been born in "the charmed circle of the Catskill Mts.," it's not surprising that Nature figures prominently in some of my stories, although always as a backdrop for some universal law(the verities Faulkner called them). One of my latest stories, presently untitled, but slated to appear in my newest collection,"Love Songs in Minor Keys," which comes out next year, explores that relationship in detail.
A one time wine connoisseur, ginseng hunter, fly fisherman and still world traveler(India is my favorite by far) I happily reside in the South among the bones of Faulkner,Welty,Twain, Capote et al.
I have an M.A. in English from American University in Washington,D.C., and a B.A.in English from Marist College in Poughkeepsie,N.Y. I have also studied Philosophy at the graduate level at Georgetown.

Horror Author Andrew Wolter with NightFall.
The town of Spook Valley is far from the outcries of the city. Nestled in the rural deserts of Arizona, Spook Valley is a town in which neighbors congregate on their lawns, and doors remained unlocked throughout the midnight hours. However, it has reluctantly become home to an unknown force of evil, hellbent on destroying all humanity. For one man, life in the quaint town of Spook Valley is about to take a dramatic change as he commences a battle against creatures of legend and folklore. He will discover that the survival of the entire world rests solely upon his shoulders as he becomes entangled in a nightmarish web of the fantastic that consumes his every waking minute. The ultimate war between good and evil has arrived. It begins at nightfall.
Bio:
I like to be known as an author without genre boundaries. Many have referred to my fiction as homoerotic horror, due to the gay element that seems to make its way into my works. Perhaps, it is merely art imitating life. Notwithstanding, I'm not a whore like some of my characters in my first novel, The Rules of Temptation; nor am I an evil creature as depicted by the troupe of characters in my upcoming novel, Nightfall. I am a writer. Yes, I write what I know, and, perhaps, I have experienced such. However, a writer's job is to grip the audience; and one of the ways that he/she does this is by fabricating the truth and bending reality into a kaleidoscope of the fantastic. That said, I hope you all get a chance to enjoy my books.

Author Yvonne Mason with Silent Scream
Silent Scream
Port St. Lucie, FL - Oct 30, 2008 - Florida Author Yvonne Mason is pleased to announce the
release the true crime book Silent Scream. In 1972 Martin County Deputy Gerard Schaefer was
arrested for the aggravated assault of two young women by the name of Nancy Trotter and
Pamela Wells. They were the lucky ones. They got away.
On April 1,1973 the bodies of two more young women , Georgia Jessup and Susan Place were
found on South Hutchinson Island. They had disappeared from Fort Lauderdale on Sept 23,1972.
The police investigation which ensued led the authorities back to Gerard Schaefer who was by
this time serving six months for aggravated assault on Nancy Trotter and Susan Wells.
The firestorm and the evidence uncovered in the investigation led authorities to believe that Ex-
Martin County Deputy Sheriff Gerard Schaefer had killed more than just these four young
women. Evidence gathered during a search at his mother's home revealed at least nine and as
many as possibly thirty four over a span of six years beginning in 1966 and continuing until
1972.
Until this crime, Florida had never experienced anything like what is now known as serial
killings. Gerard Schaefer was considered the first perpetrator of this type of crime. Crime Scene
evidence testing, DNA testing and the ability to link similar crimes was primitive at best. Law
enforcement didn't communicate with each other and there was no way to tie these types of
crimes to one perpetrator. Gerard Schaefer was caught simply because he got sloppy.
Ms. Mason's Silent Scream gives the victims a voice - a voice which has been silent for over 30
years. Some of the young women were never found, some cases were never closed and there
were never any bodies to bury.
Gerard Schaefer took their voice away when he bound, gagged, hung, tortured, and buried their
bodies in remote areas. He killed in pairs so one could watch while the other was destroyed.
This is their story; this is their voice and with this voice comes the peace they have never had.
Retired FBI Agent Roy Hazelwood stated:
"Yvonne Mason has captured the true essence of Gerard Schaefer, a deputy sheriff who
enjoyed torturing and killing young women. It is a gripping story and you should prepare to be
disturbed. I guarantee that you will find it difficult to put this book down."
Det. Lieutenant Chuck Hemp OPPD Ret. also stated::
When Gerald Schaefer used his badge and gun to terrorize and kill rather than protect and serve
he crossed a line that not only snuffed out the lives of his victims but also affected the lives of
their loved ones and the police officers charged with investigating these crimes. In her book
"Silent Screams" Yvonne Mason has captured more than just the story, but has also given voices
to all of Schaefer's unknown victims. I'm sure there are many.
Ms. Mason, reminds us that at any time and any place we can become a victim.

NEW RELEASE!!! -- My fourth novel, THE DEVIL'S CRESCENT - Hardened bounty hunter Diego Montoya descends upon a small Texas village in the midst of a cloudburst and boldly plunges into the life of beautiful, small time cattle rancher, Maggie MacNaughton. Diego is a man haunted by a past filled with death and disappointment, a nobleman fleeing from the dictates of his demanding father and an arranged marriage. When a U.S. Marshall asks Diego to infiltrate a gun runner's operation, Diego reluctantly agrees, shadowing the powerful land baron, Morgan Lansing. Morgan's efforts play into the hands of a group of Mexican nationalists, who quickly claim the land vacated by the terrified settlers until only one parcel stands in the way of their march toward the border -- the one occupied by Maggie MacNaughton. Diego and Maggie match wits and wills as the danger mounts. When they are finally captured, it seems only their reliance upon each other might save them from a swift and certain death. Can a bounty hunter and a lovely cattle rancher stop a group of Mexican nationalists from retaking southern Texas? Find out in this action-packed western!
Bio:
I started writing when I was about 12 years old and have never stopped. I am the granddaughter of an award winning Ohio author and poet and already have several books published and screenplays awaiting production. I am also a veteran of the stage and was once asked to try out for the Metropolitan Opera.
I am the President of Kodron Productions, Inc. and the author and screenwriter of VORTEX OF REVELATION, a compelling novel/screenplay about the End of Days. As the ghosts of Civil War soldiers march through Gettysburg, gladiators do battle in the Coliseum in Rome and saints appear to the faithful, earthquakes rip the Earth apart while meteors streak across the solar system on a collision course with Earth. How can the human race survive the End of Days, what seems to be the end of time as we know it? Only funding stands in the way of our bringing this incredible picture to the silver screen. For now, you can purchase VORTEX OF REVELATION through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble or Target.com. Ask for it at your favorite bookstore under A.B. Keller.
TREVOR'S LOVE, my second published novel, is a contemporary romance about the growing attraction between a handsome, but ruthless executive living in the fast lane and the temporary assistant who slowly but surely, finds a way into his heart. This story is set in Cleveland, Ohio and features many of the things I noticed in my long business career. The flashy, superficial lifestyle of the rich and famous often lacks depth and true meaning, the heart and sense of belonging to which all of us cling in those quiet moments when the tinsel-type friends depart and the only comfort we find is in the arms of those we love. You can find TREVOR'S LOVE through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and PublishAmerica.com. Request it by name at your local bookstore, too! You'll be glad you did.
BRIGGEN, a science fiction/fantasy was published by TRIAD Publishing Group in April, 2008. BRIGGEN is a riveting page turner that will have you perched on the edge of your seat as this brawny warrior prince rushes across the galaxy, battling aliens and assassins, dealing with an ornery wizard and a proud dragon, and finally succumbing to the charms of a beautiful sorceress as he claims his throne and saves the exotic planet of Mantasi. ORDER BRIGGEN in paperback or in Amazon's new KINDLE format. Stay tuned for the other two novels in this marvelous sci-fi/fantasy trilogy!
COMING SOON - The second book in the BRIGGEN trilogy - THE TORRENT SEED and my poetry collection, FOOTSTEPS ACROSS MY HEART.

Award winning author Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc with The Sampson Gene.
www.lulu.com
The Sampson Gene by R. Scott Rutherford and Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc
The Sampson Gene is the first story by Scott to see print and Andrea, as story writer, is honored to call this her first foray off the beaten path of the established genres she has taken by storm.
The Sampson Gene is a novel of Apocalyptic proportions!
Based on some biblical fact and a lot of fiction, The Sampson Gene follows a man of divine heritage who has lived decade after decade, though wars and all of the world's most memorable events.
He has lived long enough to see the present become the past and though he has tried to live as normally as possible, he has been called upon by a secret Vatican based organization to help stop the one enemy he hoped he'd never live to see...the Anti Christ himself!
Available in paperback and a special collector's edition hardback that differs slightly from the paperback, Sampson will thrill you and make you think about what the future holds for not only America, but the world in general.
Other books are The Two, A Man of Two Worlds, Michael, Playing Devils Advocate. New book covers for all.

Author Charlie Renne with A Truck Fell On Me.
Well my very first book has now been published. I figure it must be pretty good. After all, the first publisher I submitted it to want to publish it. Check out 'A TRUCK FELL ON ME'. It can be purchased through amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Target.com and other on-line book stores. The book is about a near fatal accident I was involved in. As the title suggests, a truck actually fell on me. Right across my lap. I missed being a pancake by about six inches. While the book was written in a light hearted manner, it does also touch on some pretty serious subjects such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder complete with graphic flashbacks and even suicidal thoughts. I also had an out-of-body-experience. Check out the pictures. Sorry they are in black and white. I hope to eventually have the color photos on my space.
Barbara Eden. Okay so she's 70 something now. Who cares. She'll always be ingrained in my memory like when I was a teenage boy. I would like to talk with anybody interested in my experiences. I am a survivor of life. The Grim Reaper has tapped on my shoulder 4 times. Each time he was sent packing. On one occasion, I even had an out-of-body experience. Also want to meet other authors, publishers, book reviewers and literary agents. I wish to make friends with as many firefighters, EMTs and law enforcement officers as possible. I owe my life to their brothers and sisters that came to my rescue on November 6, 1998. I owe my freedom to the men and women of our armed forces. Therefore I want to ask that they and their families also consent to be my friends. We as American owe them all a big thank you.
Charles Renne was born and raised in Kansas. His writing skills were honed while working toward a Communications degree at Wichita State University. After graduating in 1983, he began his professional writing career as an advertising copywriter. Other vocational achievements include marketing, broadcasting and managing a customer service department. Drawing on his own life experiences, he has created two narrative non-fiction works of literature. Charles has a unique way of viewing life. While being rescued following a near fatal automobile accident, he was cracking jokes with the EMT's and other would be rescuers. Even with a truck laying across his legs, he was able to find humor in life. The accident and subsequent recovery encouraged him to produce a book entitled, 'A TRUCK FELL ON ME' (Publish America…2007). He has also completed one fictional novel as well as another non-fictional book. That work, entitled 'MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY: Do Not Attempt This At Home', is his account of living with MD. Though his accident was severe, it has actually allowed Charles to pursue writing on a full time basis. He also takes time to lecture for various groups including civic organizations, book clubs and rehabilitation facilities. In 2005 and on his fiftieth birthday, Charles was married in El Dorado, Kansas. He and his wife, Mary Ellen, live in a cozy country cottage with three cats and one dog. His hobbies include yard work, feeding birds, photography and backgammon.
Synop:
A TRUCK FELL ON ME By Charlie Renne
A Truck Fell On Me is more than a story of survival. It chronicles my desire to live life to the fullest. I began my venture to fulfillment the moment a truck smashed into a bridge which caused it to fall through my Bonneville and come to rest across my lap. The truck bed was just inches in front of my face. My car's steering wheel was driven through my right thigh. The roof of my car was squished down on my head which caused me to fold like an accordion. The next thing I knew, there was a voice telling me I was going to be okay. It was a member of the heavy rescue squad. Little did I realize the prophecy of that man would take eighteen months to come to fruition. Not only did his prediction come true, but I was even better than before the 10,000 pounds of iron tried to crush my body. During my rescue the pain became so unbearable my inner being left my body. I found myself watching the rescuers along with the crowd on the side of the road. That out-of-body experience along with the graphic flashbacks caused by my bout with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) led me to believe I had actually died in the accident. For one and a half years I fought to figure out if I was dead or alive. My recovery entailed a variety of challenges. Among them were two operations. The first saved my life, the second one nearly destroyed my life. The thought of that surgery caused me to plunge into the dark crevices of my mind where only PTSD can flourish. Depression enveloped my life. Thoughts of suicide were constantly in my mind. The persistent pain served to enhance my feelings of doom. Everyday of my recovery presented me with more obstacles. The grueling physical therapy which taught me to walk again caused the pain to increase while at the same time intensified my mental anguish. Meanwhile, since I was unable to work, my financial situation spiraled downward. There were thousands of dollars in medical expenses and my creditors called repeatedly demanding their money. To top things off, an already rocky marriage was pushed to the breaking point.. Eventually my mind and body did begin to heal. The process was very slow and agonizing. Seconds seemed like days. Days resembled months. Yet through it all, it was my sense of humor and my deep seated appreciation of life which were the driving forces behind my recovery. A truck smashed my body yet I refused to let it to conquer my spirit. A Truck Fell On Me was published by PublishAmerica and released in May of 2007. The ISBN is 1424149010 and is available through most dot com outlets including Amazon, Target and Barnes & Noble. The word count is 43,000.

Book Cover Designer and Award Winning Author Debi DeSantis
My name is Debi DeSantis and I am originally from the Philadelphia area and moved to Florida in 1991 where I now live in West Palm Beach with my husband and young son, who absolutlely amazes me and if it wasn't for him there would be no Spongebob in my life. I also have a daughter that is in college and is hoping to be a wedding planner. I adore my entire family and love spending time with them; which there never seems to be enough of. I truly love it in Florida, it's nice living so close to the beautiful beaches and the turquoise colored water, while watching the palm trees sway in the breeze. I have to honestly say though, I really miss the Philadelphia soft pretzel, South Philly cheese steak and tea biscuits(sweet biscuits with raisins) I can't forget the cream dried beef on white bread....yum Besides writing I also am interested in the Criminal Justice field and doing anything that involves being creative. I make gourmet gift baskets and design my own beaded jewelry when I have extra time (which is not very often). I love writing and it takes up hours and hours of my day. I rarely change out of my PJ's and usually have bed head. My husband calls it my "Secret WIndow" time. (for those of you who saw the movie, just picture me insead of Johnny Depp and there you go.) At times I think my husband is jealous of the time that I dedicate to my work and being on the computer, but in the end he is very supportive and proud of me. This is not a 9-5 job and almost every night I am sitting in my comfy chair listening to the T.V., numb butt an all, and the clock reads 12am. Its not just the writing but surfing the web to find sites to put the books on and promote, send out books for reviews and participating in chats and online interviews and updating my website, just to name a few. Its not glamorous, but its fun and I can't imagine doing anything else. Travel is my vice; my escape from the real world and my "Utopia" which contributes to some of my poetry and writing choices. My family and I have been to the most spectacular places....Italy, Austria, Germany, Ireland, England and almost every island in the Caribbean. My travels have served as a backdrop for some of my stories with the hopes of taking my readers to places that they may have not been before. My ideal dream would be to live in Northern Italy, in a small town called Bolzano which is located just below the alps. It is genuinely captivating, peaceful and truly overwhelming. It is a place that simply took my breath away, there are no other words to describe it. Not to mention the food was great and so was the chocolate. Perhaps living on a hillside overlooking a vineyard, or on an island just swinging in a hammock under a palm tree, drinking some kind of fruity drink and soaking up the sun.....maybe some day. There is such beauty in this world that most of us only get a glimps of, this is why making your dreams come true is so important.
Thanks for listening, Debi DeSantis

About the Book: These are the true life stories of the men and woman I have associated with in my twenty year career as a Paramedic. While reading this book, you will get to feel and understand some of the pressures of working the street. The Streets Ran Red is an account of the lives of a pair of deputy sheriff paramedics and the supporting cast of medical experts who helped them save lives. This is a true account of a group of special individuals who make up a very special team. The accounts described in this book actually happened and the victims were real. The names and locations have been changed at the requests of some of the characters. These are the men and women who, on a daily basis protect and serve the public, from the perils of the real world. The golden hour of trauma begins when a person is injured and the clock starts to tic. This is when the trauma team of Doctors, nurses and paramedics step up to the line and save your life. Some of the actions in this book are graphic in nature and intense in reality. This is the nature of the job. Split second decisions have to be made if you are to survive. So before you ask, "Why" read on and the answer will become clear to you.

Author Lanaia Lee with Of Alantis
Lanaia Lee was born in 1957 to a Navy father and a schoolteacher mother who home-schooled her. In second grade, she was reading on a 4th grade level, so they moved her to a private school to enhance her education.
When she was nine years old, her mother died from a massive stroke. Because her father was rarely home, her grandmother, a professed black witch, gained custody.
When Lanaia was 14, her grandmother abandoned her, and she landed in foster care where she had four different sets of foster parents within a year, because she kept running away to avoid men who attempted to molest her. At age fifteen, she went to boarding school on her dad's GI Bill. She graduated in her junior year after which she drifted, living with various people with neither a family nor a home. At eighteen, she married and divorced having three miscarriages. By nineteen, she began working in management for convenient stores and restaurant chains.
She remarried at age 30, then had a stillborn daughter a year later. Five years later, her husband left her for a seventeen-year-old. She filed bankruptcy, and one month later suffered a massive stroke, which, after seven months in the hospital, put her in a wheelchair.
The next two years involved intensive physical therapy, but she would never walk again. She took the step of finding work to help her rehabilitation. She found employment at vocational trades where she met my soul mate, David, also in a wheelchair from a motorcycle wreck he sustained in 1984. They married in 1992 and are still happily married.
They, too, lost two children due to her disease, erratic hypertension. She and her husband live independently, and she still drives.
In 2001, David dared her to write a poem. Out of curiosity, she posted it in an online poetry forum. The feedback was so positive, she kept writing. At first, she wrote just poems, then short stories and finally novels. All of her work is typed one-handed because of her disabilities.
Lanaia gives credit to the grace of God which has helped her overcome immense adversity, hold her head high, and she claims she won't quit until she hits the best seller list. professed black witch, gained custody.
Of Atlantis
the first of a
five-book fantasy series.
Synopsis of Book One
Of Atlantis is an epic fantasy novel based upon the king of Atlantis known as Archimedes. Archimedes is blessed with a source of untapped power - a power to heal and a power to destroy. His mother, Cheris, trusts this power, but his father, King Lionus fears it, making him suspicious and distrustful of the young prince, his only son.
In this first book of five, we follow King Lionus as he returns victorious from yet another war among the countries of the continent of Atlantis. He has been led to believe a false tale of his wife's infidelity and turns against her, driving him slowly into debauchery and decline. Loyal to the end, Cheris, endures his alienation and resentment while nurturing her son, Archimedes, from his childhood until he is crowned king, marries and has children of his own. Cheris, accepts her celibate and loveless marriage out of a duty to her subjects and to Archimedes, her only child who she values more than life itself.
When Uric, a trusted advisor to King Lionus proves to be Archimedes' archenemy, political turmoil ensues and the constant threat of war could tear Atlantis apart and bring devastation to mankind. Uric, too, has tremendous powers but those powers must be continually fed or he will die. He knows and covets the true strength of the enduring powers of Archimedes who has long suspected Uric's evil tendencies. Eventually, Archimedes will come face to face with Uric's demonic character – but who will survive to play instrumental roles in major historical events through the centures?

1st author of the night is:
Gloria Teague with SATURDAY NIGHT COCOA FUDGE.
I'm proud to tell everyone that my story, Her Promise, will be in the January issue of The Odd Mind!
Gloria
When I was a little red-haired girl I used to live in what was to become known as "The Zone", a place never to hear the voice of Rod Serling, see the profile of Alfred Hitchcock, or feel the jet-stream of a passing super hero, but a blend of all of the above. In "The Zone" I sang with Alvin and the other Chipmunks, rode with the Lone Ranger on my trusty stick horse, and wore my mother's voluminous half slip on my head, visualizing it as long golden tresses sure to capture the eye and heart of my prince. I was born in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains into the most wondrous, crazy family ever to bless a child. My family told me that my imagination could be my best friend. I've never had any reason to dispute that since it's helped me to cope with life's bumps and bruises. It's even boosted my checking account a few times. I've had over four dozen short stories published in national magazines, as well as serial and holiday stories published in regional newspapers. I have a short story published in the anthology Shades of Tulsa and I'm a contributing author to Book Marketing A to Z. It is my pleasure to be a member of Tulsa Nightwriters and have the honor of being the editor of NightScripts, the organization's newsletter. I'm also a member of Oklahoma Writers' Federation, Inc. (OWFI).
Synop:
SATURDAY NIGHT COCOA FUDGE is a coming-of-age story of not only a freckled-faced girl of the 1950s in east Tennessee but the maturation of the women of my family. This book isn't about a sugar-sweet mother and grandmother, nor is it about an unscrupulous family that crippled me emotionally. Rather it's about sweetly flawed women who taught me what I was meant to be and what I was not meant to be. Our neck of the woods was filled with folklore, superstition, and mystical ideas. My grandmother believed and practiced most of these, passing them onto the next generation. My world was populated with strange relatives, quirky neighbors and mysterious bible verses that could stop the flow of blood. Being a member of this bizarre family made life worth living. These people were so fiercely loyal in their love for me, for each other, I felt they deserved to have their story told.

Author C.J. West with A Demon Awaits.
I'm a small town boy, turned big city technology manager, turned novelist. I spent my early years searching for an intellectual challenge, my adult years trying to find the humanity in technology and services that replaced people and now I'm right where I should be. I have a wonderful family, a new writing partner, my puppy Bella, and I love being with my kids out here in the suburbs and writing every day (and night). Life couldn't fit any better.
CJ West writes thrillers that feel like they're written about the family next door. Although his books are action-packed, each book explores a theme of character or faith. CJ attributes this combination to a strong Christian upbringing that valued piety and industriousness, but also athletic competition, shooting sports and an ability to live off the land.
Sin and Vengeance , the first book in CJ's Randy Black series, was optioned for film by a screenwriting firm in early 2008. The screenplay, written by Marla Cukor, is complete and has drawn interest from a number of producers. A Demon Awaits, the second book in the series offers a major twist in the storyline and challenges readers to forgive Randy Black's mistakes and follow his journey in future novels.
CJ embraces social networking and keeps in touch with readers on MySpace, Goodreads and Facebook. He personally answers his messages and regularly posts updates on his work. Links to each of CJ's profiles are provided at http://www.22wb.com.
About A Demon Awaits
A Demon Awaits picks up the action from the last page of Sin and Vengeance and kicks it into a new gear. When the dust settles, Randy Black is left to question his faith and his humanity. He's turned away from his teachings and done horrific things. Now Randy is being held to account.
From the Back Cover
Randy Black wants to die...
Overcome with anger and grief after losing his parents, Randy Black plans to sacrifice himself to avenge them. He plots revenge for 10 years then destroys three families in spectacular fashion. Winemaking heir Charlie Marston takes the brunt of Randy's anger. Randy steals Charlie's dream career and burns his inheritance to the ground. When Randy's revenge is taken, his blood cools and his suicide mission takes an unexpected twist. Randy survives and doesn't know what to do next.
He clings to life...
Randy sees his future. Horrific torture lies ahead if he doesn't change course. He's given a chance to atone for his mistakes and he latches on. The solitary life of a predator glares back from his empty address book. Without friends or family, Randy is left alone to rediscover The Way. One question haunts his every step: Is he worthy of forgiveness?
But now he's the one being played...
Just as Randy befriended Charlie Marston to tear his life apart, defense attorney Tom Gold wrests control of Randy's future. Randy is consumed by his quest to redeem himself until he discovers his every move is being manipulated. Randy is ready to strike back, but the rules have changed. Sin carries weighty consequences in the afterlife and Randy is out of second chances.
Book Description
From the moment Randy Black appears in CJ West's novel, Sin and Vengeance, he is consumed with a lust for revenge. Randy is so obsessed that he plans to sacrifice himself to destroy the man who has taken his rightful place. Randy delivers retribution in spectacular fashion, but his suicide mission takes an unexpected twist. Randy survives, his blood cools, and he doesn't know what to do next.
A Demon Awaits is the second book in the Randy Black series and as the book opens Randy sees his future. Horrific torture lies ahead if he doesn't change course. He's given a chance to atone for his mistakes. He latches on and begins the difficult journey to rebuild the life that tragedy stole from him 15 years earlier, but questions haunt his every step. Is he worthy of forgiveness? Can God forgive him? Can he forgive himself?
Earthly trials impede Randy at every turn. Randy is threatened and beaten. He's repeatedly tempted to lash out and undo the spiritual progress he's made. Randy resists only to discover that he's being manipulated by Tom Gold, his own defense attorney. Finally, Randy is ready to strike back, but there are limits to what he can do. Sin carries weighty consequences in the afterlife and Randy is out of second chances.

Author Elizabeth Eagan Cox with A Ghost of A Chance.
Cozy Paranoramal Mystery Novel.
Elizabeth Eagan Cox has penned dozens of corporate histories for some of America's most prestigious companies, including: Ayres Hotel Group, Billabong USA, Cabo Yachts Inc., Forever 21, Matsushita Avionics and TXI Cement Mfg. Co. Elizabeth was a columnist for Old California Gazette and she is a former school librarian. She enjoys digging up intriguing stories about history and incorporating these facts in her writing. In A GHOST OF A CHANCE she used many elements of history to bring the story to life, including the study of late-nineteenth century sleight-of-hand magic, Victorian architecture, and details regarding California's founding Hispanic culture.
Elizabeth is a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the worldwide Irish Clann Mac Aodhagain.
About 'going green': This book is based on a short story I sold to a British e-zine several years ago. When I decided to use the short story as the building block for a novel I knew I would want it published by a reputable royalty-paying e-book publisher. I was delighted when www.ebooksonthe.net offered me a contract.
But why choose e-book publishing over hardprint? For me it was a logical way to have a positive Eco-friendly impact… A way of doing something good for the environment. E-book reading is not for everyone, but it is viable option that has significant results over hardprint publishing: No trees are cut down. No paper manufacturing with use of toxic chemicals is needed. No energy is spent in the transporting and warehousing of books and transporting to point-of-sale bookstores. No energy is spent in purchasing books because a person can do it from a home computer. And now, a host of manufacturers offer handheld e-book readers at a variety of prices. Eco-friendly e-books are becoming more accessible to everyone and e-books costs less than their mass-market paperback competition.
I believe life is a journey, as we travel let us take memories and leave no harmful footprints – EEC.

I am going to try this. There should be 101 things about me. This will take time and I will do it here. Lets see. I think this will be hard and fun. I have not looked into my past for many years. So here it goes.

15. I can live a lone in a remote area and never see the light of day and be happy.
16. I like people at a distance. When you allow them close their problems become yours.
17. I rather write my own stories or read, then watch a movie.
18. Movies are crap. I sit and wonder who funds them. They are not worth the film they are on.
19. I saw JFK in San Antonio, Texas the day before he was killed. I was very young. He waved out the window as he passed over an over pass.
20. After 9-11-2001. I could not take my eyes off the TV for two weeks, then after that I quit watching TV for 6 months.

37. People say I am nice. Truth is I am, it is just I do not butt into other peoples business and do not care about much. I live for my family and do not care what other families are doing. So I smile and say "Hi" to everyone.

51. I believe all people have bad days. So I give them a break when they are ranting.
52. I did not graduate school. I left in my junior year and got my GED. Then went to college. School is the most depressing place to be. College is more fun.
53. I do not like loud colors. Yellow, Reds and so on. They give me a headache. I like mauve's and browns. They keep me calm.
54. I like walking. It releases my stress.
55. I am a good mother. I live for being a mom. My children have only one mom. So it is my job to be their mom. When they are of age, then I can be selfish.
56. I rather be by the water than anywhere. It keeps me calm. I sit on the beach in Freeport and think it is the end of the world. You cannot see land. As far as you see is water. As the big ships go by I think of all they places they go.
57. I dream in movies. I never know what the next night will bring. It keeps me waiting. By the end of the dream it all comes together. I dream in total color. I can enter each character and know what they are thinking and feeling. I rather dream than live real life.

61. I like Geeks. I like someone that uses their brain. I do not care about who's wearing what and who is sleeping with who.
62. I write to release what is backed up in my mind. Once I write it, then it leaves my mind. If I do not write than it stays around and bugs me. My mind is like a computer it has to defrag.

72. In a room full of friends I am the funny one. Loud. In a room full of people I do not know I am the quiet on in the back of the room.
73. I always sit in the back of the room ( I can see what is going on.), never my back to a door.
74. I get mad at someone and get over it in 5 minutes, and talk to them like I was never mad. I do not like carrying around anger, it is a waste of time.
75. I love family gatherings. I have them 4 to 5 times a year. I just love being around all my relatives. They are who I am. I want my kids to know all their cousins. You will need your family as you get older. We have big families. Every gather ranges for 20 to 40 people. We do nothing but laugh and do silly things. Blood is thicker than water.

I am a writer. Does not matter how many booboo's I make. There are editor's for that. I am a writer. There I said it. Now I am done.
Now you try it.
AngelLesa December 11
You will find this funny.
April 13 She loves men does not matter Fat or Thin Short or Tall she loves them all. It is not the sex she thrives for It is the attention that is not mentioned. She bathes in her addiction for a day While she gets attention from her prey. She does not care she feels alive and exist Just for a moments touch and kiss. She has all the heart and all the love But nobody wants it from a broken dove. She sleeps with whoever she can Just to feel life in her hands. You can touch her, feel her, and hold her hand Just as long as you fulfill her plan. She knows this will not last long But that is the price for the addicts song.
