Author Andrew Wolter with Much Of Madness

A book of Andrew Wolters latest short stories.

    About The Author:
Andrew Wolter is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Nightfall and the forthcoming collection Much of Madness, More of Sin.
Since as far back as he can remember, Andrew Wolter had always felt the urge to create entertainment through the written word. As a child, he was highly influenced by the plethora of horror films, both unforgettable cult and "B" classics, he would incessantly watch in the late evening with his mother. Sure, he was an eleven-year-old child at the time, and a few of them managed to scare him out of his wits! Still, he saw an art in the unknown, an insatiable portrait of dread that revolved a setting without boundaries. So it was, that he decided he wanted to create such dark tales too.
Being a child of the technological age, Andrew's first writing tool was a Sharp electronic typewriter. It was initially his mother's (who writes in the New Age/Spirituality genre). and she gave it to him when she got her word processor. Oh, how he loved the slim black contours and the way he could correct a misspelled word at the touch of a button! Through the years (between school, a social life and, ultimately, a career) he had managed to type out several short stories and a full-length novel. Unfortunately, none of those stories (which he tends to laugh at as he revisits them from time to time) or the novel made it into print. In fact, the novel which he simply titled "The Object," was lost somewhere in the shuffle of his adult moving days.
By the time Andrew was eighteen, he gave up his typewriter and purchased a computer. Perhaps it was the journey into adulthood and the coming to terms with his sexuality that gave Andrew the true fuel it would take to create a salable story. At the age of nineteen, Andrew came out to his family that he was gay. Most of his family welcomed him with open arms. Soon, he decided to blend horror fiction with gay erotica. At the time, books containing such ideas were few and far between and Andrew had his doubts of how receptive the audience who read a novel of such nature would be. However, he was suddenly inspired by a blooming underground author by the name of Poppy Z. Brite. Her novels are without boundary and center on everything from vampires and haunted houses to serial killers and the reality of relationships between gay men. The originality and solidity of her voice kept Andrew craving more and created an inspiration for his own works.
Andrew likes to be known as an author without genre limitations, whether certain pieces of work are filled with burning lust between two men or taking place in a netherland of evil. As long as he can move you--emotionally as you revisit love between characters, physically as you recoil from the unknown darkness, or sexually as you passionately writhe in your seat--then he is at peace with what he writes. Though Andrew always conveys a realistic moral in his fiction, his works remain dark and without remorse. This is what many readers have learned to expect after reading his first novel, The Rules of Temptation. Andrew's second novel, Nightfall, is unlike his first book. Whereas The Rules of Temptation deals with the horror of reality and is brimming with homoerotic scenes, Nightfall centers on supernatural characters and events. Nevertheless, readers will find that all of Andrew's works contain both gay and straight characters. The development of such characters is nothing more than art imitating life and a knowledge of what he has experienced.
In addition to his fiction writing, Andrew has freelanced as a contributing columnist to various magazines. Andrew has over 85 published reviews and over 15 published interviews.
Though Andrew was born in St. Louis, Missouri, he has spent a majority of his childhood and adulthood in Phoenix, Arizona. Andrew currently resides in Phoenix, where he is preparing the release of a short story collection and his next novel.

Author Toni "Toniwo" Womack with That's What You Get For Running With Scissors

That's What You Get For Running With Scissors, Volume 1 is a compilation of seventeen short stories of every type of bad relationship drama that a woman can find herself in, if she is not careful.  The women in the stories fall for men who eventually hurt them in the end.

Although the women see the signs to be wary of, they desperately want to be in love, no matter what the consequence.   Many of the situations have humorous moments but will make you think before you leap.  The stories are identifiable even if the reader has not personally experienced these situations, they probably know someone who has.  One other thing that makes my book unique is that there is NO male bashing whatsoever.

That's What You Get For Running With Scissors begins with "Stupid Is What Stupid Does, " about a young woman in a relationship with a guy, who in turn, is caught seeing someone else.  When the young lady doesn't hear from the man for several months after the incident, she is beside herself with grief thinking the worst.  He finally contacts her to explain and "stupid" accepts his excuse only to find out that her "man" is now married to the woman with whom she caught him with in the first place.  In "Friends With Benefits" a woman falls for a guy who is the total opposite of the men she usually dates, but finds out too late that he is extremely jealous and will do anything to keep her, including filing criminal charges against her.  The other stories include relationships with co-workers, preachers, ex-cons, infidelity and a host of other scenerios.

Authors Jill Nelson and Jennifer Sugar with John Holmes, A Life Measured In Inches .

"The tree of life represents the roots of man. The branches are the different directions a man can take, live or exist. When you're dead, those that you leave behind will put you in a part of that tree. It represents what was, what is and what will be. It's eternal." -- John Holmes
Most people might, understandably, predict that the world's first porn star was a woman, but they would be wrong.
John Curtis Holmes was just a simple country boy from Ohio when he moved to California in 1964. It was the infancy of hardcore, so in Holmes' wildest dreams, he could not have predicted the turbulent ride on which he had embarked by publicizing his private parts.
With the fame he achieved by playing his most famous character - a gun toting detective named Johnny Wadd - came money. Holmes was pleased to spend it on his wife and mistresses, but soon was in over his head after he became addicted to cocaine. Unfortunately for Holmes, in the years that followed, his addiction led him into several desperate choices - including setting up a robbery at the home of Ed Nash, a powerful L.A. nightclub owner. The robbery resulted in one of the most gruesome, unsolved, multiple-murders in Hollywood history. Amazingly, before his untimely death in 1988, Holmes regained his momentum, remarried and rebuilt his life and career. However, the grave consequences of his addiction, his association with the Wonderland murders, and his AIDS-related death made him an infamous figure in pop culture.
Digging past the stigmas, John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches - the first biography about John C. Holmes - unearths the human being behind the penis and proves that there was more to him than could bemeasured in inches. This biography includes material from the authors' new interviews with: Laurie Holmes, Bill Amerson, Bob Chinn, Julia St. Vincent, Detective Tom Lange, Detective Frank Tomlinson, Paul Thomas, Ron Jeremy, Seka, Marilyn Chambers, Candida Royalle, Rhonda Jo Petty, Dr. Sharon Mitchell, Bill Margold, and many others! John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches also includes 114 reviews of John's most notable feature films, 86 loops synopses, 3 photos sections with rare nudes, and a 21 page comprehensive filmography.

    About The Authors:
On August 8th 2004, 21 year old Jennifer Sugar attended a pivotal event in Hollywood that set her on the path toward co-authoring her first biography titled, John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches.  The event, "Fit for a King" was a posthumous, honorary 60th birthday celebration for Holmes, whereby Sugar, a Michigan university student, networked with several people who proved to be instrumental in helping her to accomplish her goal.  Ironically, Sugar was only 5 years old when Holmes passed away in 1988, at age 43, from AIDS-related causes.

Approximately two and a half years later, after meeting online through their mutual interest in their subject, Sugar invited 49 year old Canadian hearing instrument specialist and mother of two, Jill Nelson, to co-write the biography.  The two authors began to forge their unique collaboration.  Interestingly, neither Sugar or Nelson had any previous affiliation with the pornographic movie industry, yet, they succeeded in establishing trust and confidence within the adult entertainment community.

Sugar and Nelson researched their subject extensively, while conducting interviews with 35 people who had known, worked with, and/or loved John Holmes.  Presented as an oral history, their intensive project consisted of compiling their own new interviews with previous interviews, along with other resources, in order to produce the consummate and comprehensive: A Life Measured in Inches -- the first biography about the erotic film legend and pop culture icon.

At an impressive 584 pages, "Inches" contains three photos sections (including rare nudes), 114 feature film reviews and 86 loops synopses, all viewed and written by the two authors.  Sugar and Nelson worked diligently to generate the current 21 page filmography, encapsulating data from Holmes' earliest film work.  Adult film historian, William Margold, contributed the book's Foreward, "Hard Core Martyr".

On its publication date, August 8th, 2008, John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches was launched at the eclectic and classy venue, Book Soup, on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California.  The event was well attended by fans, friends and many industry insiders, including Holmes' widow, Laurie Holmes, who endorsed the biography before the attendees.  Ms. Holmes was an invited guest speaker that evening, along with the legendary Johnny Wadd creator and director, Bob Chinn, William Margold and Cass Paley, the director of the award-winning documentary, Wadd,
The Life & Times of John C. Holmes.

The critically acclaimed, John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches is the first book for authors Jennifer Sugar and Jill C. Nelson.

Author Shirin Dubbin with Keeper Of The Way

Aftermath cleaner, Nia Mora, is destined to die—tonight. Severin, the inscrutable and utterly delicious harbinger of death has already arrived to bear witness… but damn his duty. He will not stand by and watch. Not when Nia Mora may be the Fae's last hope of survival.
Damn Severin and his heroic delusions. Fae-tech mogul, Zan Wynn, is equally drawn to Nia'Mora and as the quintessential--yes, those are your panties dropping--bad boy he can't be bothered to play fair.
Oblivious to her doom, Nia Mora's concern is for the missing Way, the very essence of the Fae and the reason they are trapped in the mortal world. That and the small matter of remaining single when she can't deny Severin's power over her or Zan Wynn's hypnotic pull. But is the nefarious Wynn a second potential mate or the prelude to her destruction?

    About the Author:

Shirin Dubbin is a megalomaniac prima donna…um, ok...not really. She’s actually a closet wallflower with an addiction to laughter. Besides being a voracious reader and lover of storytelling she hosts DC’s Fantastic Forum, a show celebrating comics, sci-fi and fantasy. Recently, she edited two novels and when she’s not designing she’s busy writing screenplays, novels, graphic novels, stage plays, novellas and TV pitches—all of which she loves. Government reports show a residence in DC but she spends most of her time on the astral plane and is certain she’s seen you there.

Author Amy Grench with Blanket of White.

    — Sherry Decker, Author of Hook House and Other Horrors
What makes Blanket of White stand out from other collections is the emotional response to common themes: death and sadness, love and sex, loss of innocence, and twisted family relationships. These are some very powerful stories that wrench at the human heart and plumb the darkest depths of the soul. Bravo.”
    — Nate Kenyon, Author of Bloodstone, The Reach and The Bone Factory
“Blanket of White is a collection of short stories that leave the reader fighting an attack of shivers and wondering if, perhaps, there more dreadful truth to the tales than fiction. Sometimes we remember people the way we want to remember them, instead of how they really were. We forget the fear, the horror, the torture, and we remember their beautiful eyes and hair—their soft voice. Sometimes we try to justify terror, try to make sense of it. We try to adapt. Sometimes, we manage to convince ourselves that murder can be a loving thing. There is a strong sense of winter in these stories. Chilling details and coldness pervade the characters and the tales. For the reader these stories leave more questions than answers and readers may find themselves remembering these tales for a long time.”
